Treme’s Petit Jazz Museum
Our mission
Treme’s Petit Jazz Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich, global story of jazz—beginning with its African roots and tracing its journey through the Caribbean to its birthplace in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans. Through a curated, guided audiovisual experience, we explore the cultural migrations, rhythms, and voices that gave rise to this world-changing art form. Our mission is to honor the legacy of Black creativity, educate local and international audiences, and connect communities through the power of music, memory, and movement.
